Respond to user feedback
Purpose:
usability
optimize for the Modern Lab by designing for the smallest screen-size (e.g. tablets)
Main updates:
look and feel
interface behavior
technical stability
Key changes:
New menu "Page Admin Mode" for page edits:
Some options, like "Select Web Part” and "Tab editing", will only be visible when "Page Admin Mode" is turned on. The option stays active until the user deactivates it by clicking on "Exit Admin Mode".
Headers and menues:
The project and folder menus have been combined into one.
Web part pulldown menus are now available in the upper right of a web part, rather than attached to the name.
The search bar is only shown when you click the icon.
The admin menu can now be accessed via the menu.
The help and username menus have been consolidated under the menu.
Some hover and click actions have been changed to better match user expectation.
Navigating to 2nd and 3rd level submenus (e.g. in the admin menu) is done in one menu frame instead of several, and requires to click to navigate to a submenu: Menus show icons to indicate a submenu or parent menu is present.
